Do you always seem like a shadow, searching the descriptions of products before you purchase them? It can be discouraging. So many practical body care products have way too numerous preliminary components! It still goes for many that are deemed to be natural and organic. That’s one of the ideas I love doing myself. I can hold full control over the constituent, and it’s fun! Come accompany me while I explain you how to make lotion with shea.

NON-GREASY SHEA BUTTER LOTION RECIPE

In my exploration of healing, I enhanced awareness of the huge toxic burden on our current world. The merchandises we use on our skin are a large part of this! Did you understand that our skin, our most comprehensive organ, immediately absorbs whatever we put on it? It’s true. And this matches rather scary when we understand just how toxic so many popular special care products are.

This lotion is excellent for when you want a light, nongreasy moisturizer that is created with only the simplest, most essential ingredients. I think you’re going to enjoy reading how to execute lotion with shea butter.

TAKING IT INTO MY OWN HANDS WITH DIY LOTION

In my search for the most refined and most natural skincare, I determined to try performing some things. After all, planning things has always been a huge feeling of mine.

As I quickly discovered, getting your organic skincare commodities is super fun! One of my personal things to perform is lotion. One thing I don’t DIY is makeup, and you can hold out my 100% Pure makeup review here.

I just accept it is so fun to use different elements that wouldn’t normally readily mix, and emulsify them into a pleasant, light, and luxurious lotion.

HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR LOTION?

When you obtain lotion, you’re forming an emulsion. That’s if you force two things to connect that don’t usually mix. The method is just like getting homemade mayonnaise.

My favorite part of equipment for creating homemade lotion is a food processor. You can additionally use a blender, but I notice that the food processor provides the most positive results.

Cleanliness is especially critical when doing any skincare products, especially when they contain water. I suggest cleaning all your equipment in a weak bleach solution and before letting it air dry before making lotion. That way, you won’t include several bacteria in your recipe.

I suggest using purified water for the water portion. Again, this is just so that everything is as pure as possible, with nothing rejected getting into the creamy lotion.

HOW TO MAKE LOTION WITH SHEA BUTTER DIRECTIONS

NATURAL PRESERVATIVE FOR HOMEMADE LOTION

When you prepare homemade lotions including water, it is necessary to use a substance.

Wait for a second, right? Don’t we normally avoid chemicals in our food?

Of course. I hesitated at the idea of a preservative in homemade lotion at the beginning, too. But, the question is, if we make something that holds water, and must it sit around at room temperature, we do require to add something to have it fresh and to stop unwanted bacteria mold growth.

I got a natural chemical that works great, and I am enjoying using it. It is called Optiphen Plus and is paraben-free and formaldehyde-free. I’ve signified really happy with it, and that’s something I recommend when I show how to make lotion with shea butter.

Of course, if you need to go preservative-free, you can simply store your homemade solution in the fridge. But have in mind that the shelf life will however be shorter.

Alright, now that we’ve worked over everything, let’s dive in and make some lotion!

CUSTOMIZE YOUR DIY LOTION

What’s also more fun is when you go to experiment and perform around with ingredients. That’s if it gets especially exciting!

In this process of how to create lotion with shea butter, I hold a liquid oil, which appears to be jojoba oil and shea butter. You can replace these two with any other liquid oils or kinds of butter that you require. You could try fresh almond oil and cocoa butter. Or avocado oil including coconut oil. The possibilities are endless!

MAKE IT SMELL PRETTY AND DO EVEN MORE

Essential oils are especially pleasant to use, too. You can provide a single oil, a premixed combination, or perform your blend.

There obtain oils with anti-aging properties, which are wonderful in a homemade lotion. Individual single oils, like lavender, are chock full of useful components for skin and smell gorgeous.

Some of my favorite premixed vital oil blends from Plant Therapy are Soft Skin and Bouquet. Soft Skin is taken of oils that serve to soften and renew skin, with excellent anti-aging properties. Bouquet is a beautiful garden scent. There are many more beautiful combinations, too.

And of course, you can make creative and come up with your compounds! If you’re seeming for some natural gift ideas, I receive some essential oil gift ideas here.

If you’re trading with skin rashes or itchy skin, this post has info on what necessary oils can help.

IS COMMERCIAL NATURAL SKINCARE THE REAL DEAL?

I understood that our care and skin care products do matter. To reduce our toxic load, we’re far better off using pure, natural ingredients, and avoiding synthetic and artificial substances.

There are loads of skincare and personal care products out there that are marked as being “natural” or even “organic.” But are they a great choice?

Pretty often, sadly, the answer is no. Lots of the original skincare that is prepared commercially still contain ingredients that aren’t natural, and that I’d sooner avoid.

For my non-toxic cleaning products. I further have a tallow lotion recipe here.

BENEFITS OF SHEA BUTTER

For a plant-based component, shea butter is moisturizing and has properties that can revitalize and lighten skin. It is abundant in fatty acids including vitamin A, vitamin E, and natural anti-inflammatory properties (source).

Unrefined shea butter becomes more useful nutrients related to refined shea butter. If you don’t remember the stronger smell, unrefined is the most excellent way to go, in my opinion.
